We loved this place so much we went two days in a row when we were in town. The owners were very friendly and the service was fast. I got the Italian sub both times and my husband got the old school sub first then the Muffaletta the next day. We also go their potato salad and everything was SO good. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Black Mountain.

Tried this place on a whim and it was delicious! Slightly out of "town" but worth driving the mile or so. Good selection of sandwiches, lots of made-in-house options. Bread was delicious - really makes the sandwich. Will def be back.

Food is always amazing. I try to go as often as I can during my lunch breaks. I only get 30 minutes. Right now l can't call in an order because it's still going straight to the voicemail set up for Thanksgiving. Please fix this because I only have time to get it if I can call it in.

My wife and I grabbed lunch at Old School Subs after a hike at Pisgah. We split the Roast Beef & Swiss and the Italian. Both sandwiches were amazing and the bread was so soft and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Snowy visit to old school subs. I was in black mtn on Tuesday for work right off Old Hwy 70E near tractor supply. Been there many times for work this was the first time I ever noticed old school subs. I decided to give then a try and sure glad I did. I ordered a 12inch Chicken Philly sub. Man was it good. I've of the best I've ever had. The staff were super nice and friendly. They did a wonderful job preparing my food. Will definitely go back and eat there again.

Im a traveling photographer, and I've tried a few sandwiches in my day. But this place was so good I'll be thinking about it for years to come. Their potato salad was phenomenal as well. Great customer service. Can't recommend enough!!

Wanted to find a new local place to eat. Subs are always a nice choice. Well, Old School was excellent. Nice friendly staff, great quality food and cookie to finish it all off.

The Pastrami Reuben was great. Bread is the key factor and their rolls are excellent. I would just recommend a pickle spear to go with the subs but everything was delicious. Give them a try!
